For 2008 all of our shoots will be on Sunday. We will also be hosting the VBA Fall 3-D classic on Saturday & Sunday August 16 & 17. Watch for details.

For 2008, we are also having three "club" shoots. These shoots are to promote membership into all of the local archery clubs that are promoting archery by setting up and having 3-D shoots. a lot of work goes into hosting a shoot.  It is also open to TBA, Dixie, Goochland, White Oak, Fort Lee,  and VBA members from anywhere in the state. Guests are allowed. Bring some to see the fun we also have. No Awards. Cost is $8.00 for adults and cubs are free! Limited food will be available. Casual shooting. the number of targets may vary. And also may have more than one stake at the same animal.

We will continue casual registration this year. Registration will be 9am to 11am. Shooting will begin 9am also. Please register early and start early if you shoot slow! Targets will be pulled starting at 3PM!   Please spread the word!!

At one of last years shoot we had several people who registered in the wrong division! Please read our rules which follow IBO guidelines and make sure your equipment is legal for the division you sign up for. If you have any questions, please ask before you register. Thanks for your cooperation

For 2008 all Arrows will be inspected to confirm Target points are same outside diameter as the shaft. We have had a lot of target damage by points being larger than shafts.

We have added Women's Traditional this year. We have dropped Women's Open Class.

Senior division starts at age 50 this year!

At last years VBA meeting, a motion was passed by the voting delegates from all VBA clubs to give the VDGIF support for Sunday hunting. They had asked for VBA input into this possible regulation change. This is another example of what the VBA is doing for you the VBA member bowhunters and for all the other bowhunters who are not presently VBA members. Come join us, so we can continue to help with your hunting rights!! Check the link below to learn more about the VBA!!!!!

Virginia Bowhunters Association

Two  House Bills were introduced this year to allow Sunday PM hunting. Speak to your representative!!! Unfortunately neither made it out of committee. So another year of NO HUNTING ON SUNDAY!

Unless you live in one of the other 43 states that allow Sunday hunting. Or is it down to 42???
